LaTeX on UNIX -Gregg MacKeigan

This manual describes access to the Sevilleta LTER Information Management System (SIMS) computers, some UNIX commands, electronic mail, file transfers, analytical software, and other system tools. The descriptions are enough not only to get you started, but comprise most of the commands used by typical users.

We typically provide introductory training on UNIX, including the editors Emacs and vi, the statistical analysis system SAS, the text formatting system LaTeX , the relational database commands of /rdb, and basic spatial data management with Geographic Information System (GIS) software. Fundamental topics typically get an hours worth of introduction.
